Biography

Born in 1973, Malaysia, is an internationally-renowned award-winning watercolour artist. He is the Signature Member of The American Watercolor Society (AWS) and member of Malaysian Watercolour Society (MWS). Kerk Hwang held 5 Solo Exhibitions in Singapore and Malaysia from 2014 to 2024.

Kerk Hwang had actively participated in International Juried Exhibitions and Art Expos. He had won over 30 International Awards in prestigious competitions worldwide. He is a regular Invited Artist to various prestigious International Exhibitions. Kerk Hwang’s works are in the collections of corporations, governments, schools and many private individuals around the world.

Kerk Hwang’s paintings were featured 3 times in leading European Watercolour Magazine “The Art of Watercolour”: on the cover & 6-page article in 16th Issue September 2014, 4-page Feature Article on 26th Issue March 2017 and a 6-page Feature Article on 61th Issue March 2026. He is included in the Russian/English bilingual book “24 Masters of Watercolor: From East to West” published in 2015. Two of his paintings were juried into “Splash” Watercolor Magazine in 2024 & 2025.

1973年出生于马来西亚, 毕业于澳洲墨尔本工艺大学(RMIT)商业广告系。克璜获得美国水彩画协会(AWS)签名会员及马来西亚水彩画会(MWS)会员。他在2014至2024年间于新加坡及马来西亚举办过五次个人水彩画展。

卅多年来活跃於海内外水彩画展竞赛及艺博会展览活动, 水彩作品获得30多个国际奖项的肯定及政府机构, 学校,私人机构及海内外收藏家典藏。

他的作品3次被刊登在来自法国, 印刷5万本发行超过30多个国家的水彩艺术专业杂志 The Art of Watercolour: 2014年9月号(封面与6页专访), 2017年3月号(4页作画步骤)及2026年3月号(6页专访)。 他的多幅作品也于2015年被俄罗斯出版社编入英俄双语版24位国际水彩名家画集, 同时展示作画步骤。他的两幅作品入选2024及2025美国权威水彩年鉴 “Splash 最好的水彩”。
